Civil Litigation

We represent business people in commercial disputes. Laurie Armstrong and Heather Wellman team up with Sheila Wilson and Barb Barber, our litigation paralegal, to provide results and cost-effective litigation. We do not get involved in divorce or family law disputes, personal injury or accident cases, criminal law (except those involving tax evasion charges), or immigration, so don't look for us in the yellow pages.

We do commercial disputes of all kinds involving money claims, business claims, tax of all kinds, foreclosures and estate litigation, bankruptcy, insolvency, corporate and real estate disputes, even maritime issues. We handle administrative law issues, where we represent individuals or companies in dispute with all branches of government. In commercial matters we are as likely to represent the plaintiff as the defendant. We never represent the government. We are generally opposed to bureaucracies, be it the government, the military, big banks or big insurance companies.

We have had cases in all Court levels in BC, and throughout the Federal Court system, to and including the Supreme Court of Canada.
